Living cultures: Kombucha, Preserved Lemons, Planning for the Year - June 27th 6:30 PM
In this two hour class, we will learn about living cultures, and dive further into the world of fermentation. We’ll start by making kombucha, and learn to how to create your own unique flavours through secondary fermentation. Then we’ll make Preserved Lemons, and learn all about the magic of salt, time and lactic acid. Finally, we’ll chat about how to create a preservation plan for the year, and browse some excellent canning and preserving books. Everyone will head home with a SCOBY and a jar of preserved lemons.
